 Dave  Bahr wanted me to pass the word that adult open soccer is moving to Wednesday nights at the high school from 7-8 pm in the north gym starting next week  (2/8/12)

Kasson Mantorville Youth Soccer Association is sponsoring beginning level classes for adults interested in learning more about how the game is played and the fun of playing.  In an effort to expand understanding and enjoyment of Soccer in the community, KMYSA has rented the Elementary School gym on Tuesday nights throughout January from 7-8 pm.  Those interested should bring a size 5 ball, shin guards and gym clothes.  The format will be ½ hr skill development and ½ scrimmage.  The session will be taught by KM High School Boys Coach Dave Bahr and is for inexperienced players.

 Also on Tuesday Nights from 8-9 pm will be Open Soccer for Adults.  The format will be pick-up style where players are divided up into equal teams and scrimmage the entire hour.  Due to insurance purposes, shin guards are required.  KMYSA is also sponsoring this and there are no fees for either session, however, donations are always accepted.  The first session is January 3^rd.

2012 Minnesota Girls College Prep Soccer Clinic

Do you have any players who are considering playing college soccer? If so, we welcome you to pass this information onto them. This summer we will be conducting the 2012 Girls College-Prep Soccer Clinic. The purpose of the clinic is to allow players the opportunity to train with and compete in front of the top local college coaches. The H.S. Class of 2010 & 2011 continue to excel at the collegiate level. Over the past two years, we have been tracking the clinic participants and over 100 of them made a college team as a first-year player. This clinic is open to all female soccer players who will graduate high school in 2013 and 2014 (mostly U16 & U17). The clinic is most appropriate for those who compete in USYS MRL, MYSA Premier and MYSA Classic 1 Leagues.

The KM Girls soccer camp is tentatively set for July 23^rd through July 26^th.  Time TBD, but most likely in the evenings from 6 to 8:30.  Watch the Community Ed Summer Brochure for details.

There will be a U17 traveling soccer team this summer.  Please contact Dawn Griffin if you would like more information. 

Just letting you know I will be doing the Winter Technical Academy again this winter.  Any of the girls players through Varsity are eligible.  The first five classes focus on basic technical topics and the last five are tactical.  We have kept the costs very low.  Let us know if interested.  Have a good Winter!
